Ashley hired me for this job to help visually smooth out a construction error. The workers had put stucco where it didn't belong and it created an opportunity for a great mural space but it was awkward without paint.

Ashley loves the shabby chic look and has created a quaint cottage feel with her bedding and decorative accents throughout the house. Stefan's passion is hunting and fly fishing. It was important to both of them to paint a mural that unified the house and the shabby chic design that Ashley had already begun as well as including more masculine aspects that Stefan could relate to. Ashley and I worked together to incorporate the hunting details with the feminine patterns already in place. Luckily, shabby chic is the perfect style for this problem.

I decided to incorporate the "Trump L'oeil" painting technique to help give the gun a realistic-3-D appearance and included in the mural 3 of Stefan's favorite types of bird to hunt along with some hunting phrasing. I was extremely pleased with the outcome of this mural.
